James Wolfe is rightly called the "Father of Canada" for his victory over the Marquis de Montcalm on the Plains of Abraham. The events of that day, set the stage for the events that transpired at Charlottetown Prince Edward Island more than a century later when the fathers of confederation signed the British North America act and took Canada from colony to country.
